User expectations should be discussed as often as other aspects of a product’s user experience. User expectations are an extensive part of the product’s return on investment, and meeting those expectations as soon as the user has engaged with your organization is important. A healthy user expectation begins with a product’s pre-login marketing site.
I enjoyed working closely with Atomic Learning’s marketing department to deliver consistent elements, patterns, styles, and language for the pre-login marketing website. Together, using the design system, the marketing team and I delivered pre-product login mockups dedicated to assuring our users were familiar with our product’s navigation philosophy and action patterns.
User success directly translates to user trust and user trust directly effects product sales.
By sharing the product design system with our marketing tools, we established Atomic Learning’s legitimacy and deepened trust from the user. We also set up our users for success when logging into the product.
We were able to maintain user trust throughout the product through our continued efforts to implement consistency between both departments. Our focus on the smallest details added up quickly, which created a maintainable trustworthy experience that increased user retention and product adoption.
